Nárameč – Fortress, Nature Park and Routes
Accommodation in Nárameč
Nárameč is a destination for travelers who want to discover historical traces and landscapes together. The town is home to the remains of a stone tower castle, a late Baroque chapel and Gbel Pond. The municipality is also part of Třebíčsko Nature Park. Of the three routes, two begin in Nárameč, while one passes through the town.
Fortress remains in the northeastern part of the town
The remains of Nárameč’s stone tower castle lie in the northeastern part of the town. The surviving remains of the stone fortress are relatively well preserved. Their external ground-floor dimensions are 12.7 × 11.5 meters, while the walls are two meters thick. These figures convey a concrete impression of the structure: not only the name of the fortress, but also its ground area and massive construction shape the historical character of the site.
Chapel, stone cross and commemorative heritage
Another sight is the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk. It dates from the end of the 18th century and is a late Baroque chapel. A statue of the saint stands inside. Next to the chapel there is also a substantial stone cross dating from 1840. It is considered the oldest cross in the cadastral territory of the municipality. The chapel and cross thus represent two different historical points of reference: the chapel stands for sacred architecture from the late 18th century, while the cross represents a single monument in the town’s territory with a precisely recorded date.
Nárameč’s historical memory also includes the war memorial. It commemorates sixteen soldiers who fell in the First World War. The unveiling ceremony took place on October 19, 1920. The complete date places the memorial in its historical context and makes this commemorative site a testament to local history after the First World War.
Natural surroundings around Gbel Pond
Nárameč’s connection with nature is particularly evident at Gbel Pond. The pond has an island and a wooded peninsula, giving its landscape a clearly defined character. Together with the municipality’s inclusion in Třebíčsko Nature Park, this creates a different focus for visitors than the cultural monuments do: anyone who considers water, wooded landscape features and protected natural areas when choosing a destination will find concrete points of reference here for further planning.
Three routes of different lengths
Three explicitly described routes are available for planning your journey. Route 5106 passes through Třebíč, Nárameč, Pozďatín, Náměšť nad Oslavou and Dukovany and is 32 km long. Route 5109 begins in Nárameč and leads through Hodov, Tasov, Naloučany and Náměšť nad Oslavou; it is also 32 km long. Route 5112 likewise begins in Nárameč and leads through Rudíkov and Hroznatín (Benetice); it is 11 km long.
This gives you two routes of 32 km each and one shorter route of 11 km. Their courses also differ: Route 5106 passes through several well-known places in the surrounding area, while the other two routes begin in Nárameč. Anyone who wants to choose a route based on its length and course can compare these details directly, without reducing the routes to a single excursion idea.
