Klíny combines winter activities, distinctive viewpoints and a history that dates back to the Middle Ages. Zipline over the Šumenské Valley

The “Krušnohorská bílá stopa” cross-country network includes Klíny and offers machine-groomed trails that connect to trails in neighbouring Saxony. Another winter experience is a ride in a piste groomer: it lasts about one hour, and one person sits next to a professional driver. Between downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and the piste groomer, there are therefore three different ways to experience winter in Klíny. The various routes and types of experience allow you to weigh up and plan the day’s activities individually according to the desired level of activity, the time available and the impressions of the landscape. The map of the cross-country loops makes it easier to find your way around the marked options, while the approximately one-hour groomer ride provides a clearly defined time frame for this experience. Thanks to the connections to trails in neighbouring Saxony, the cross-country skiing options also extend beyond the town.

To the Jeřabina Lookout Tower

The Jeřabina Lookout Tower is located about 6 kilometres from Klíny. There is a small car park below the lookout tower; from there, a red hiking trail about 0.5 kilometres long leads to the Jeřabina Lookout Tower. The lookout tower was recently renovated and offers views of the Mostecká pánev basin and the surrounding mountains. The church thus provides a specific historical reference point in the town.

Klíny from a historical perspective

Klíny also has its own cultural and historical point of reference. The first written mention of Klíny dates from 1355 and refers to a church in Klíny. The original Gothic church in Klíny was dedicated to Saint Wenceslas. Alongside its present-day natural and winter experiences, these two details give the town a clearly rooted historical dimension.
