Třebotovice: Cultural Landscape, Waterways and Historic Village Structure

Stream, Tributary and Lusný Pond

The Dobrovodský Stream rises southeast of Třebotovice. Within the territory of the city of České Budějovice, it is the Vltava’s largest right-bank tributary after the Malše. Part of Lusný Pond is also located in the Třebotovice locality, on a right-bank tributary of the Dobrovodský Stream. The spring, tributary and pond show the waterscape in different spatial contexts.

In the surrounding area, a red-marked walking trail leads from the Dobrá Voda–Točna stop to the České Švýcarsko water reservoir. Along the trail, there are eight information boards about the stream and its immediate surroundings. The trail thus combines physical activity with a series of specific items of information about the landscape.

Hiking Trails with Different Impressions

A hiking route from Třebotovice to Srubec is 6.7 kilometres long. It leads across an open meadow and then into the forest. One route leads from Třebotovice along unmarked paths through Zborov to the Srubec, Na Štětkách terminus. The combination of meadow, forest and unmarked paths helps you assess the hike according to your preferred pace and need for orientation.

A forest path leads from Třebotovice to Dobrá Voda along the stream. For planning your day, you therefore have a route with a documented length, a connection across meadow and forest, and a streamside path as different points of reference.
