The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows stands on the village square in the Novosedly district. Its most striking detail is a centrally positioned, four-sided open bell tower. The year 1817 is also displayed on the chapel.

Boží muka on the Southeastern Edge of the Village

The wayside religious heritage of Novosedly includes the wayside shrine known as “Boží muka.” The approximately five-meter-high, three-sided, two-storey pillar structure stands on the southeastern edge of the village above the access road, next to a former sunken lane. The term “former” belongs to the description of the sunken lane and should not be understood as a current route indication. The wayside shrine itself is a distinctive landmark within the local cultural landscape.

The further history of the village also has a surprising side. In 1989, an unusually large bronze axe was found in Novosedly; it is now lost. The find therefore belongs to the village's past but remains a memorable unusual historical detail. Together with the first mention in 1379, Farmstead No. 3, and the chapel dating from 1817, it creates a broad chronological picture that takes you through different eras as you travel through the area.

A yellow-marked hiking trail runs along the southern edge of Novosedly.
