The Keltská naučná stezka is 27 kilometres long and has six stations in Kubova Huť, Boubín, Buk and at Mářský vrch, as well as two in Lčovice. One section of the Keltská stezka leads from Bošice towards Zálezel and Malenice. The 27 kilometres refer to the entire Keltská naučná stezka; the section from Bošice leads towards Zálezel and Malenice. Mářský vrch also has an observation tower. It is 12 metres high and has a viewing platform at a height of 8 metres. The St. Wenceslas Rotunda stands at the summit, and a Stations of the Cross trail also leads to it on Mářský vrch.

Historical Traces Around Bošice

A historic route from Kunžvart, now Strážný, on the national border, led through the area of the later municipality of Bošice via Horní Vltavici, Pravětín, Trhonín, Láz and later via Svatá Maří, Pržmo or Věnec, Zlešice and Volyně. Bošice and Brdo Forest are mentioned in Queen Eliška Přemyslovna’s privilege of 11 August 1314 in connection with the royal district of Volyně. These connections between places and routes give the landscape a historical dimension that extends beyond individual structures. The Věnec hillfort is a cultural monument and lies about 2 kilometres east of Budilov. The Věnec archaeological site was already settled in the Late Hallstatt period and the La Tène period.
