Two Parts of the Village and the Chapel of Saint Bartholomew

Staré Tvorovice lies in the lower part of Tvorovice. From the 14th to the 18th century, this part of the village served as a monastery farm. Nové Tvorovice was established in the 18th century as an independent settlement after the monastery farm was dissolved. In the 19th century, Nové Tvorovice was merged with the original settlement to form the municipality of Tvorovice. This development makes the structure of the village a visible gateway to its history.

The Chapel of Saint Bartholomew is part of the local culture. It was built in 1883 and dedicated to Saint Bartholomew; material from an earlier structure was partially used in its construction. A comprehensive renovation took place in 1967. Its architectural history thus connects the 19th century with extensive renewal in the 20th century. The local chapel was also part of the program during the Tvorovické hody, where a mass was scheduled.

Pond and Park in the Lower Part of the Village

Tvorovický rybník is a 1.25-hectare pond behind the football pitch in the lower part of Tvorovice. It is surrounded by a landscaped park and can be used for recreation and relaxation. This provides a clear counterpoint to the historical themes and activity on the cycling route. If you are traveling with children, the “U Kaple” children’s and park area is also available to visitors for leisure activities. The play equipment there is intended for children aged 3 to 15.

Cycling Route 5013 through Tvorovice

Cycling Route 5013 runs through Tvorovice between Pivín and Hruška. From Tvorovice, it continues to the Chřiby Nature Park. When planning your trip, you can therefore consider a route that connects the village with further stages and a nature park.

Festivals with Music, a Parade and a Children’s Program

The 2023 edition of “Mikroregion Němčicko se baví” took place in Tvorovice. The event belongs to a traditional series that rotates between the municipalities of the microregion. The Tvorovice edition included a festival parade, competitions between teams and an accompanying program.

The Tvorovické hody also combined various elements. The program included performances by local children and activities for children. A social gathering with music was also scheduled at the grounds of TJ Sokol Tvorovice. The local events thus complement the historical and scenic points of interest with shared community experiences.
