Myštěves combines golf opportunities with landmarks of village history. Queen’s Park Golf Club Myštěves offers guests accommodation in rooms in the castle on the golf course grounds. The neo-Baroque castle also houses restaurants and a club room. Choosing accommodation here makes it possible to combine your stay with an interest in golf; at the same time, the bell tower and memorial plaques offer another perspective on the town.

Golf on the castle grounds

The club offers golf lessons for players of all skill levels. If you plan to take a lesson, check with the operator for current booking options. The public blue nine-hole course can be tried by anyone interested, without a proficiency certificate. Confirm the current access rules with the club before your visit. Lessons and trying the course independently are different ways to include golf in your stay: one with instruction, the other through the public course offering.

The third nine is also used as a public golf course. A recently certified children’s golf course complements the offering. Families looking for a golf activity specifically aimed at children can include this course in their travel plans. The golf options therefore include specific choices such as lessons, public courses, and the children’s golf course.

Part of the golf course is located in an English park with a neo-Baroque castle. The grounds are therefore defined by both golfing opportunities and the park and castle. For visitors interested in architecture and landscape, this combination gives the golf course grounds added character.

Village square and memorial plaques

A wooden bell tower stands in Myštěves village square. It provides a distinctive landmark in the town center and makes the village center a subject in its own right during your stay.

On 28 May 2011, two memorial plaques were ceremonially unveiled in Myštěves. One bears an inscription, while the other displays portraits of imprisoned church dignitaries. Both plaques were created by academic sculptor Dagmar Štěpánková-Černá. The bell tower marks a place in the village center; the plaques commemorate an event on a clearly specified date. Blažkov Castle in Myštěves dates back to an original Baroque building from the first half of the 18th century. In 1901, Knight Gaston Malmann of Skřivany had the castle remodeled in the Neo-Renaissance style. The transformation of this building from Baroque to Neo-Renaissance can thus be traced through two distinct points in time.

The golf course, English park, and village square represent different facets of Myštěves. If you choose the town for its golf, lessons and public courses can be the focus. Those who also want to explore the village’s history will find specific cultural landmarks in the bell tower and memorial plaques.
