Zbýšov lies south of Čáslav on the southeastern edge of the Central Bohemian Region. The municipality of Zbýšov is first mentioned in historical sources in 1257. Among the oldest surviving buildings are buildings No. 1 and 3 of the former farmyard. A prominent part of the church grounds is the Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. It is a Neo-Romanesque church from 1884, built by the Schwarzenberg master builder Marchetti.
