Its history therefore extends from the original fortress to its later Baroque design.

The pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity is also part of the local architectural history. It was originally a Renaissance building from the 16th century and was remodeled in the Baroque style around 1700. The Church of Saint James the Greater is likewise a cultural monument. It is a single-nave Romanesque building; its present form was created between 1877 and 1880. The two churches offer different historical perspectives on Srbeč.

Culture and Orientation in the Small Chateau

Café Otevřeno is located in the small chateau. It also serves as a tourist information center and as a venue for exhibitions and concerts. This makes the site a combination of practical orientation and cultural offerings. Depending on your interests, a visit to Srbeč can therefore be combined with information about the surrounding area, an exhibition or a concert.

The more recent history of the site's use can also be seen in connection with a body of water: Srbeč's former brewery stood by a pond that is now used as an outdoor swimming pool. During the summer months, an outdoor restaurant is regularly operated on the premises of the local outdoor swimming pool. These two details illustrate how individual sites have changed without confusing their historical and present-day uses.
