Soběhrdy combine the Benešovská pahorkatina hills with animal experiences and a multifaceted church and music history. For families wishing to combine nature, shared activities, and cultural discoveries, the village offers several different ways to do so: a visit to FARMAPARK, wooded hills, historic churches, and festive events.

FARMAPARK Soběhrdy: Animals and Paths

FARMAPARK Soběhrdy is home to farm animals from around the world. Visitors can feed some of the animals themselves and take part in guided feeding sessions with animal keepers. FARMAPARK also offers more than 5 km of paths for pedestrians and strollers. This makes it possible to combine encounters with the animals with a longer stay on foot. With more than 5 km of paths, a visit extends beyond a single animal encounter. Families can structure their time on foot and alternate between sections of the paths, feeding some animals independently, and taking part in guided feeding sessions. The combination of animals, supervised feedings, and walkable paths is a clearly recognizable focus of the village, especially for families with children of different ages.

Hills and Wooded Heights

Soběhrdy lies in the Benešovská pahorkatina hills at an elevation of 409 m. The landscape around Soběhrdy includes wooded hills such as Čerčanský chlum and Krásná Hora, which was formerly also known as Kačí vrch. Alongside FARMAPARK, there is therefore a landscape with its own names and historical links to the area. The village thus combines two clearly different areas for exploration: FARMAPARK with its paths and the wooded heights of the surrounding area. Those who want to discover not only a single attraction but also the character of the hills during their stay will find a second, distinctly different focus here.

Churches, History, and Special Events

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Soběhrdy was built in the Pseudo-Romanesque style and consecrated in 1907. Masses are held there on the first and third Saturday of each month, and possibly also on the fifth Saturday. Soběhrdy’s Protestant history also includes the fact that, after the Battle of White Mountain, Protestants secretly gathered in ravines beneath Kačí vrch. Cultural exploration therefore includes both the church building and the ravines beneath Kačí vrch.

The international vocal music festival Hlasy tří světů takes place annually in May and June. For June 7, 2026, a performance by the Victoria Ensemble was announced in Soběhrdy as part of Hlasy tří světů.
