The building therefore brings together several historical periods without tying the village to a single era. When looking at it, both the Baroque design and the older core stand out as different layers of the building’s history.

This allows you to combine the village character directly with an experience of the trails in the surrounding landscape. The two options can be chosen according to your preferred focus: the village scenery and trail route in one case, the destination and connection with the landscape in the other.

Podveky also offers specific connections for exploring by bicycle. The Posázavská trasa cycle route runs through Podveky. In addition, cycle route 0122 connects Podveky with Krasoňovice. Alongside the Posázavská trasa running through the village, this provides a connection to another village. Cyclists can therefore either focus their ride on the route passing through Podveky or include the connection to Krasoňovice. Cycling options thus range from the route through Podveky to the specific destination of Krasoňovice.

The Turnovka Stream and Practical Orientation on Site

The Turnovka stream flows through Podveky, adding a precise natural feature to the village’s landscape. Together with the wooded surroundings and the hill near St. Havel’s, both architectural and landscape impressions form part of the village scenery.
