Discover Pšovlky through several distinct features: an exceptionally well-preserved half-timbered barn, traces in the landscape of a medieval fortification, and woodland on the southern edge of the municipality. There is also a historic Baroque house, a statue of the Virgin Mary, and opportunities for cycling and horse riding. The focus is therefore not only on individual buildings, but also on the kind of stay you are looking for: cultural history, nature, or active pursuits.

Building history across different periods

The barn at the Pšovlky No. 23 farmstead is a rare surviving half-timbered building dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, and is classified as a national cultural monument. Its half-timbered construction and exceptional state of preservation are as significant as its date. For travelers interested in culture, this building offers a distinctive introduction to Pšovlky’s architectural heritage, while the history of the place extends beyond a single era.

Much older is Tvrziště Pšovlky, also a national cultural monument: its traces in the landscape preserve the remains of a medieval fortification dating from the 13th to the 15th century. The surviving moat and the core of the Tvrziště are not open to the public. Take this restriction into account before planning a visit, and check the visiting conditions locally.

The architectural heritage also includes the masonry, deep-plan Baroque house at Pšovlky No. 71. The statue of the Virgin Mary, “Pšovlcká Matka Boží,” was probably erected between 1850 and 1870. These dates offer different historical points of reference: medieval fortification traces, a half-timbered building from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, and a statue of the Virgin Mary whose erection dates to approximately the mid-19th century.

Woodland and activities

Pšovlcký Forest stretches along the southern edge of the municipality. Cycle Route No. 351 also runs through the south. This lets you plan your day around the kind of outing you prefer, without treating the forest and the cycle route as one and the same destination.

Horse riding is another activity to consider. A profile from August 2026 lists beginner lessons and recreational riding at Jezdecká stáj ALFA riding stable in Pšovlky. If you plan to take part, arrange it directly with the riding stable before you arrive.

Pšovlky railway stop is on railway line No. 161. Before traveling, check the current timetable to see whether and when passenger trains serve the stop. This provides a specific railway reference point for planning your trip, while checking the connection for your travel dates remains a separate step.

Choose the right focus for your stay

These interests lead to different day plans. First decide what you would most like to experience, then compare specific accommodations based on which location and amenities suit your plans. If you intend to arrive by train, include the current timetable in your planning.
